Sometimes you have to lose good things in life to make room for the great things. In the words of Bruce Springsteen, “A time comes when you need to stop waiting for the man you want to become and start being the man you want to be.”
Andy Warhol reminds us that, “they say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” In other words if you don’t like the way things are don’t expect them to improve on their own. You are the crux of the matter. It will take you doing something new and different to change the way things are. Warhol’s perceptiveness is the first step in whipping procrastination which has been termed the “biggest killer” of all time.
That is because time is the only consistent constraint which everybody in the world is limited by. Each of you has but 24 hours in each and every day to accomplish what it is that you desire to accomplish. You can either find a way or make a way but you can’t blame time constraints on not making it happen. Whether you do or don’t accomplish your objective has nothing to do with time or any constraints placed upon it. But it altogether does have to do with your being perceptive or procrastinating with the time you’ve been allotted. As Mark Twain once said, “I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.”
Timing is everything! You can’t do everything all the time so you must prioritize because if you don’t someone else will. And when that happens you feel that your time is “lost.” But time can’t be lost it can only be allotted or assigned that is why “there is a time for everything under the sun.” By prioritizing your activities you have acknowledged this universal fact and have put the first nail in the lid of the coffin of procrastination.
Isaac Newton, the mathematical genius behind most of the modern world’s progression stated that, “There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world; and that is an idea whose time has come.”
The neat thing about this Newtonian fact is that you are the one who is in control of your own time and therefore you can create the idea whose time will come. You don’t have to procrastinate for that idea to happen you just have to become more perceptive… perception to the evidence which has created true and lasting wealth for millions of others before you and will continue to create wealth for millions of others currently as well as in the future. And that perception is this; “Keep invested as long as practical…”[i] Invested in what you might ask? And that is the key question. Once you perceive the correct answer to that question your financial future is in your own control and no longer under the control of somebody else.
And that is why all of us here at Life Benefits have dedicated our time to serving others… helping them to perceive what the truth is about time, money, and lasting wealth and riches.
At times it is difficult to watch others procrastinate, rejecting the truth which we’ve seen produce financial freedom for ourselves as well has hundreds of others. Yet, we realize that perception is a skill developed while procrastination is an aptitude most are born with. Still we never stop hoping that those who so desires would avail themselves to the simple tools which we have developed to assist them on their own road to perception.
